A Hull Care Home is delighted to have three of its team shortlisted for prestigious care awards

Staff, residents and relatives are delighted to hear that three of the team at Saltshouse Haven, Hull, part of the We Care Group, have been shortlisted for the prestigious national and regional care awards, which recognise excellence and achievement within the care sector across the UK.

Donna Lyon, Manager at Saltshouse Haven is a finalist in the category of Care Leadership, at The 24th National Care Awards in recognition of not only her hard work, dedication and commitment but, more importantly how she leads and guides the team to ensure they have the necessary skills to deliver high-quality person-centred care to residents.
The Head Housekeeper at Saltshouse Haven, Janice Gibbins is a finalist in the category of Ancillary Award for the York and Humberside Region at the Great British Care Awards in recognition of how she ensures the cleanliness of the home and that it is maintained to a high standard for the benefit of residents and visitors.

Sarah Pattrick, Activities Co-ordinator at Saltshouse Haven is a finalist for not one, but two awards in the Care Activities Co-ordinator category at the 24th National Care Awards as well as the Activity Co-ordinator Award category at the Great British Care Awards. Both of the awards are in recognition of her hard work, dedication and commitment she shows to residents, relatives and colleagues as well as the passion Sarah shows every day to ensure the people she supports have a range of stimulating activities for their health and well-being.

The 24th National Care Awards will be held at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London on Saturday 26th November when the winners will be announced
The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK The award ceremony of the Great British Care Awards 2022, Regional Awards for the York and Humberside region takes place at The Armouries in Leeds on Friday 11th November 2022 when the winners will be announced. Successful winners at the regional awards will progress to the national finals of the Great British Care Awards 2023 taking place on Friday 17th March 2023 at the ICC in Birmingham.
