Celebrating Excellence in Care

The National Care Awards are the largest and most respected awards dedicated to recognising excellence within the UK care sector. Celebrating the very best in care homes, domiciliary care, specialist care, and industry suppliers, the awards shine a spotlight on those going above and beyond to make a difference in people’s lives.

Operating across 34 care homes throughout the North of England, We Care Group provides a range of services including nursing, residential, palliative, end-of-life, young mental health, and dementia care. The organisation’s values of Family, Honesty and Respect, combined with its focus on creating safe, happy and secure environments, have led to national recognition across multiple award categories.

Five Prestigious Nominations

This year, We Care Group and Summit Care Group have been shortlisted in five award categories, highlighting both organisational excellence and individual achievement:

• Care Home Group of the Year [Medium] – We Care Group

• Care Home Manager of the Year – Helen Holden, Old Gates Care Home

• Sara Berrio Care Champion Award – Davey Taverner

• Care Leadership Award – Helen Holden, Old Gates Care Home

• Care Newcomer Award – Morgan Omelia, Summit Care Group

These nominations recognise the dedication, leadership, and compassion shown daily by teams across both care groups.

Looking Ahead to the National Celebration

The National Care Awards 2025 will take place on 7th November at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, London, where finalists from across the UK will gather to celebrate excellence across 27 different award categories.
