Woolton Grange Care Home receives 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating & Elite Status

Woolton Grange Care Home, which is situated in Woolton Village, is celebrating following an inspection by the Environmental Health who have inspected the service and awarded them the highest Food Hygiene Rating of 5 Stars.

From a score of zero to five, food hygiene ratings are given to food handling businesses, such as care homes, after inspection to assessed how well they comply with food safety laws. Woolton Grange Care Home was rated as 5 Star, the highest rating. This is the fourth consecutive time the home has received this rating, which makes it eligible for the ELITE AWARD given to businesses who have consistently achieved the highest rating on three or more occasions, which recognises Woolton Grange Care Home as OUTSTANDING, which is a fantastic achievement.

All the team at Woolton Grange work incredibly hard to provide residents with a wonderful varied menu, with all meals prepared with fresh, locally sourced, seasonal produce taking into account the individual tastes and dietary needs of the people it cares for.

The home prides itself on their menus, which will satisfy even those with the smallest or most discerning of appetites; from breakfast through to dinner, residents can discover something different with fresh flavours and lovely, well-presented meals. Their great chefs are always keeping themselves busy in the kitchen creating new and exciting dishes for everyone to enjoy, as well as freshly baked cakes for afternoon teas.

Laura Madigan, Manager at Woolton Grange Care Home said “It is wonderful to once again, receive the 5 Star Rating from Food Standards Agency, which is testament to the hard work of all the catering team.” She continued. “We had never heard of the ELITE Award before so were amazed to hear we had been awarded the highest accolade of OUTSTANDING. We have a fantastic team in our kitchen and we are all proud of their achievement.”
